Sloth has eight starting character classes and one advanced class. Each player chooses one of the eight staring classes: bard, cleric, druid, mage, monk, necromancer, thief, and warrior. Players then choose subsequent classes as they acquire sufficient experience to do so. This choice is final; the only way to get a different set of classes is to create a new character.
Once a character reaches maximum level (which is 40) in his first four classes, he will become an avatar, which gives him access to new, more powerful abilities and spells.
