The Athenaeum was forgotten for millennia, but was rediscovered after the Great Rendering of Jord by the Master of Ethereal Winds. The Athenaeum serves as a repository by storing the history of Jord within its archives, but no one as of yet has discovered all the secrets hidden away within The Athenaeum's walls.
Rumors exist of an ethereal cacophony that may yet be unlocked in time by adventurers. Since the rediscovering of The Athenaeum, visitors have been plentiful. However, there's a terrible secret held at the core of the Athenaeum itself that could ruin its Jordian reputation.
