Poking its finger through the veil of darkness from the depths of eternal layers of evil is the Abyssal Vortex, a small plane that reaches into the other realms to devour their inhabitants. The Abyssal Vortex is a series of vortices of darkness that swirl and gorge upon the borders of other planes, making contact with each and every one in order to feed its insatiable thirst and desire to replenish the energies and chaos of the infinite layers that lie below within its own darkness. It is said that the Abyss is endless, each layer with its own terrible beasts and rules, all vying to rule them all. Great terrible nightmares bury themselves in the depths, waiting for cocky, hapless adventurers to discover their fates in the jaws and claws that wait for them in the darkness.
