Strata

All magic, be it spells or songs, is divided into seven strata. These are different layers of magic which lie beneath every day reality. Any user of magic can access any of the layers; which one is used for a particular spell is a matter of convenience and is inherent in the spell. The seven strata are:

Channeling

Shaping

Summoning

Healing

Enhancement

Mental

Necromancy
