There are four main public channels:
 +
newbie  -- for newbies to ask for help and information about playing sloth
 +
auction -- for buying & selling good and services
 +
gossip  -- for general discussion
 +
quest  -- for messages possibly considered too spammy for non questers
 +

Syntax: <channel>

You can toggle these channels on/and off by typing the channel's name,
 +
or you can choose to turn it on or off using the option.

The channels are only available at level 3 and above with the exception of
 +
the newbie channel.  The newbie channel is automatically turned on by the
 +
mud during character creation and is available to all levels of players,
 +
but it's intended for newbies to ask for aid and advice.
