This is one of the most popular transportation spells, specially when
combined with gate. It will allow a caster instantaneous teleportation
to a particular spot. The spell must be prepared properly: first you must
go to the desired location and bind yourself to it, using earth and, of
course, water. The creation of the bond is known as "setting the beacon".
When you wish to return, all you must do is reinforce the watery component
in the bond and you will be pulled back to the marked spot.
The bond can be tested at any time, by adding a bit of supplementary earth
to it and then letting it bleed out: this will confirm the location where
you set it. It is not strong enough to be used between continents: tests
show that the amount of water needed would be too high for the spell to be
of any use. Current research focuses on the possible use of the other two
elements as an energy aid. Only one bond can be maintained by a mage, and
returning will dissolve it, so the bond must be reset every time it's spent.

This lloyds will hold its setting through crashes and rents. It can also
be used in tandem with the original lloyd's beacon spell for a total of
two beacons per player!
