Let it be known that there once was a bard by the name of Ocarp, and
so ugly was he that his mere presence caused milk to turn sour, which
was greatly appreciated by cheese and curds manufacturers all over the
world of Sloth. For many years he lived on, singing his lovely ballads
where no one could see him. Until one day, compelled by his song and
only mildly green by his appearance, a nymph revealed to him the nature
of a spell that makes nymphs and dryads so devastatingly cute, or, put
stiffly, so charismatic. The 'glamour' spell drastically increases the
bard's charisma, enabling him to affect more people with his songs (in
Ocarp's case, enabling people to stand his presence - barely). Because
he was but a miserable bard, Ocarp couldn't copy the spell sufficiently
well, and so, rare though it happens, an occasional casting is botched.
Ocarp gladly took the spell and lived a long and happy life of a minstrel.

Naturally, cheese and curds manufacturers were devastated with grief.
