'Charm person' is one of the spells that control mind regardless of the
will. Being as potentially powerful as this spell is, it is illegal to
cast it on your fellow adventurers. Doing so will instantly mark you as
a criminal. However, using the spell to control the mind of a mob is
legitimate, though dangerous: a failed cast is likely to result in an
attack from the would-be victim. A successfully charmed person will
follow you everywhere possible (but will not enter portals or boats;
this has to be an order) and obediently execute your orders. If you
wish to command all of your followers, bestow your will upon them by
doing:
> order followers <order>

BEWARE: The memory of the victim stays perfectly intact. This means
that once the spell runs out of power, you are in for an attack at first
sight. There is no way to erase the victim's memory, short of murder.
