This is the highest of the area spells in the lightning family. The mage
creates an electrical charge upon his hands, through the use of air
and a bit of fire. The energy buildup continues until a large spark
or bolt shoots from the mage, striking nearby creatures. One of the
best studies on the lightning bolt family is Anaximander Asteriskus'
review in JMR vol 1374, 'Haylakon Estrabon'.
