This skill reaches deep into a player's soul, bringing about an innate
awareness to the presence of lurkers. Once they have learned the skill
and are comfortable enough with their own bodies, the awareness exhibited
borders on the uncanny. More advanced thieves can further heighten their
awareness of the environment, gaining the ability to detect hidden items
(at thief level 35) and hidden doors (at avatar levels).

In conjunction with the SPY skill, this awareness can alert you to danger
in nearby areas.
