Your mana score represents the amount of magic you can
perform before you are drained of energy. Your current
available mana is shown in your status prompt (see "help
status") as the second number, the one with "ma" after it.
Each time you cast a spell or sing a bard song, your mana
decreases. As you become a higher level spellcaster, each
spell will use less and less mana.

When your mana is less than the amount needed for a given
spell, you can no longer cast that spell until it has
regenerated to at least the needed amount.

You regenerate mana fastest while sleeping, next fastest
while resting, and more slowly in other conditions.
