The dismiss command is how you get rid of conjured or animated followers.
If you are done with a magical follower, simply 'dismiss' it and it will
go away. The magical bond between you and your magical cohort is so
strong that this will work whether it's in the same room as you or not, and
even regardless of whether you can see the follower right now.

Unfortunately, the boffins have not figured out how to make this command
work on other players.
