Erupting from the rocky darkness of the lower planes is the magnificent stronghold of Dispater and his minions. A completely black sky rolls over the top of a huge range of mountains encircling the city, and spilling in a bottomless vortex of black below. Great Spires twist into the air from within the walls, and shadows drape every street and alleyway. It is a city of eternal night, filled with glowing eyes and cries of pain and torment. Despite its terrible appearance, Dis serves as a way-station through the lower planes where all friends of Dispater and his legions may pass with little difficulty, trading and finding momentary refuge, such that it may be. However, the enemies of Dispater will find it most treacherous and better to be avoided if at all possible.
